It's more than a business, It's a lifestyle

At Platte River Ringnecks, our time is dedicated day in and day out to our pheasants, creating a home that they can flourish in until their next adventure calls them. We utilize special climate tactics starting at one week of age, and by 6 weeks of age they are acclimated to the lowest outside temperature. By 8 weeks our pheasants are fully exposed to our flight pen, where their natural characteristics & instincts can stay intact.

Our flight pen is planted every year with milo and corn, giving our birds a thick area of cover and allowing them to scavenge for their feed as they would in the wild. We also supply gamebird feed for the birds to keep their protein intake at a healthy percentage.

All of our pheasants, through every stage of life, are fed an ample amount of gamebird feed that is appropriate for their age. This ensures that, from chicks to adults, they are meeting nutritional requirements.

Platte River Ringnecks holds high interest and top quality care for the pheasant population. That care and interest is carried throughout the farm, and is also carried into our own personal field adventures and experiences.

Wildlife is a gift, and along the way some have forgotten how important that gift is.

Here at Platte River Ringnecks, we are thankful every day for the pheasants that we get to raise and the beauty that they bring. We appreciate and respect every game, no matter the challenge- we will go that extra mile to practice good ethics.

We stand by two words:

"Persevere. Prosper"

About the Owner

My name is Trent, and I am the creator and owner of Platte River Ringnecks. I grew up an outdoorsman and had a lot of different influences throughout my life when it comes to the outdoors. I take pride in the outdoors, and doing what it takes to keep the wonders of the outdoors as natural and abundant as possible.

I am an avid hunter (deer, pheasant, waterfowl) and have been farming with my family since childhood. I took interest in raising pheasants about four years ago, and have been building Platte River Ringnecks ever since. I dedicate a lot of my time to the outdoors, no matter the season. My greatest memories take place in a field, in a tree-stand, and in the elements of nature. I believe you can learn a lot about the world by being outdoors. It's important to be able to tune out the loud of our day-to-day life, escape to the outskirts, and just simply exist. Being able to create a business like this is truly an honor. I thank my fellow outdoorsmen and customers for their continued support and interest in Platte River Ringnecks.

As a trusted outdoorsman, I want to extend some highlight over the fact that the outdoors, the wildlife, and the game we get to harvest is truly a gift. I aim for Platte River Ringnecks, and the knowledge that I have to offer to be a reflection of that.

Thank you for being here, and thank you for supporting the outdoors.

"Unleash the upland experience."
